Logs policy
What we record, what we do not record and how the service is set up.
In short: we do not record which sites you visit, which DNS queries you make or which addresses you connect from. We keep no activity or connection history. Below is exactly what we store and how the service is set up.
What we do not record
- the sites you visit and the content of your traffic
- DNS queries (our DNS server is set up without logging queries and replies)
- the IP addresses you connect to the VPN from, and when you connected
- an OpenVPN connection log (the server runs without a client status file and at a minimal message level)
What we store and why
- Account and subscription: email, plan, term and invoices. These are needed to run the service and for accounting.
- Devices: name, protocol, chosen server and keys. Configurations are stored encrypted so you can view or download them again.
- Traffic volume: bytes downloaded and uploaded per hour, with no addresses or sites. It serves the plan limit and the chart in your account.
- Whether a connection is active: the application reads from WireGuard only when the last connection was made, to count active connections. The time is not written to the database.
What this means in practice
If an authority asks us for data, we can only provide what exists: account, subscription and traffic counters. We cannot show which site was visited and when, because we do not record it.
What we cannot promise
Our logs policy has not been through an independent audit. So we describe exactly how the service is set up, instead of using words like “audited”. While you are connected, WireGuard keeps the last address of your connection in the server's memory, and it disappears when the tunnel stops or the server restarts. Our website uses Cloudflare, which sees the addresses of website visitors, but not of VPN connections. More is in the Privacy Policy.
